Marathwada
Marathwada
was known as the kingdom of Emperor Prasenjit Maharaj. The glorious and great
emperor Prasenjit Maharaj established the Marathi Empire in this Marathwada.
The founder of Marathwada is Emperor Prasenjit Maharaj. Mahur was the first
capital of Marathwada. Aurangabad, Nanded, and Latur in the Marathwada region
are the main centers of industry, education, and tourism in the region.
Major cities in Marathwada
Aurangabad - Aurangabad is the capital and major industrial city of Marathwada. The city is famous for its historic buildings, caves, etc. The Mumbai-Delhi Industrial Corridor runs from Aurangabad. The same district has Bibi Ka Maqbara, Ajanta - Ellora Caves, Daulatabad Fort and Jayakwadi Dam. Tourist places and religious places are in the district. Bhavani
of Tuljapur - Tulja Bhavani of Tuljapur is the second complete Shakti Peeth out
of three and a half Shakti Peeths! It is also said that Shivaji Maharaj was
given a sword by this goddess. With the blessings of Mother Tulja Bhavani,
Maharaj carried out many expeditions. Mother Tulja Bhavani is considered to be
the Kulaswamy of Osmanabad.
Naldurg Fort -
This Naldurg fort is a masterpiece of architecture built by the Nal king.

king built this fort for his son and it is mentioned in a book,

is evidence that its name was Shahdurg during the earlier Adilshahi dynasty but
it did not become popular
The
Naldurg fort is famous for its male and female waterfalls. The male and female
waterfalls at this place are also known as Null Damayanti. Naldurg fort is 45
km from Solapur. Is at a distance.
Thousands of tourists are coming here to see the water falling from this fort during the rainy season and the Marathi film 'Sarja' has also been shot here. Those who love historical objects must visit this fort.
Paranda Fort- Paranda Fort is located in Paranda town in Osmanabad district. It is a Bhuikot fort located in the center of the city. Although the exact history of the fort is not known, it must have been built by Mahmud Gawan, the Wazir of the Bahamani Sultanate, in the 15th century. Although the fort is small, it is a masterpiece of architecture. There are deep walls on all four sides of this fort, the walls are very strong and you can experience many finely crafted things in this place.
The fort is famous for its military architecture and military-engineering features. There was a famous 'Mulukh Maidan Cannon' in this fort. The cannon was taken to Bijapur by a chief named Murar of Adil Shah of Bijapur. Apart from this, there is a cannon called Ajda Paikar in the fort. Paranda fort has an ancient Mahadev temple and Narasimha temple as well as a mosque.
Saint Goroba Kaka Temple.
The
temple of Saint Goroba Kaka, born in 1267, is located in this district.
Devotees from rural areas come in large numbers to visit this place. 'Ter' in
Osmanabad district is the birthplace of Saint Gora Kumbhar and his Samadhi is
also here. Formerly known as Tagar, the village is situated on the banks of the
river Terna. There is also a very old Jain temple at this place and the
carvings of this place are very beautiful.
Some of the temples of this place are excellent examples of architecture. There is an old temple of Shri Nrusinha in this place and there is an old temple of Trivikrama in the center of the village there is also an idol of Lord Vishnu in front of the idol of Trivikrama
Vidarbha
Vidarbha is in the northeastern part of the state of Maharashtra. Vidarbha has two sub-divisions - (Nagpur and Amravati) which is the northeastern region of the state of Maharashtra. Deekshabhoomi
